Food Connection -- Chinese Potli | Indo Chinese Starter & Snacks Recipe

200g Maida (APF)
1 Tsp. Salt, 50ml oil,
For Stuffing - 2 Cup boiled noodles
1/2 Cup finely chopped onion
1/2 Cup finely chopped carrot
1/2 Cup finely chopped capsicum
1/2 Cup finely chopped cabbage
1/2 Cup finely chopped french beans
1/4 Cup tomato ketchup
1 tbsp vinegar
1 tbsp red chilli sauce
1 tbsp soya sauce, 1 tbsp oil
1tsp black pepper powder, 1 tsp salt
How To Make :
Add salt in maida and mix. Add oil and mix with hands nicely.
The flour should be crumbly.
Prepare a stiff dough using water. Cover and keep aside for 5 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan. Add onion, capsicum, carrot, cabbage and beans. Stir it on high flame for 3-4 minutes.
Here I have broken the noodles and boil them in salted and oily water.
Add boiled noodles, tomato ketchup, red chilli sauce, soya sauce, salt and black pepper.
Give a nice stir. The flame should be on high.
Switch off the flame and add vinegar. Allow to cool completely.
Knead again and prepare small lemon sized balls from the dough.
Roll in a small thin disc with a rolling pin.
Place the prepared stuffing in middle of the disc and fold it as shown in the video.
Seal tightly from the neck of the potli (pouch).
Prepare all the potlis (pouch).
Fry in hot oil on low medium flame.
Pour hot oil over the potlis (pouch) as shown in the video, so that the upper part of the pouch is also cooked well.
Flip and allow to cook on low to medium flame.
Now they are perfectly done. See how beautiful colour they have got!!
Take them out.
Looking beautiful, delicious and crispy too.
Dip spring onion's greens in hot oil so that they get soft.
Tie the potlis (pouch) on the neck with spring onion's greens as shown in the video.
Beautiful and delicious chinese potlis are ready to serve.
